Policies and Tuition

  1. Payment
    All Tuition is set annually and begins In June. Payments are made during the first week of each month. If a student enrolls and only receives partial month of lessons, the lessons will be prorated for the amount of lessons that were taken by the student.
  2. Missed Lessons and Make-ups
    No make-up lessons will be given for missed lessons unless the absence is due to a death in the family or a serious illness. Make-up lessons will be limited to 4 per teaching year and will require a doctor's note in order to be eligible for a make-up lesson . No refunds or credits will be given for missed lessons.
  3. Care of Students
    The school is not responsible for providing class care for students before or after lessons. Parents with students under the age of 5 must remain in the school during the lesson. If students are left at the school before or after the lesson, the parents assume the risk for the safety of the student, without limitation, during such time.
  4. Injuries
    Parents or legal guardians of students, who are minors, and students (both minors and adults), waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property during normal lessons or any other activity engaged in by the students before, during or after the lesson time, and assume the risk of any injury. Further, such parents or legal guardians of students, who are minors, and students (both minors and adults) shall hold harmless and indemnity the school from any claim or damages arising from any injury.
  5. Withdrawals and Refunds
    We request that students give a one month notice for discontinuation of lessons. Withdrawals from lessons must be done through the office.
  6. Termination by the School
    Maryville Music School reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student at any time without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
